RENO ROUNDED - PINK PONY DESIGN

Reno is an absolutely adorable little makeup bag, pencil case or storage. With its rounded bottom and edges, it will definitely make you smile. It's the perfect gift, fun to make, quick to wrap and so cute!

This bag is fully lined with a smooth interior, with rounded sides for a fun design. When open, it stands completely open on its own, so you can easily see and access your things.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY

Because of the tight rounded sides, I call this an intermediate-advanced pattern. Experience in sewing curves is recommended.  

MEASURE

The finished bag is approximately 8 x 5 1/2 inches in size.

YOU NEED

Fabric:

13” x 9” (33x23cm) - Exterior: Fabric for exterior, faux leather, vinyl, cork or cotton.

22” x 6” (56x15cm) - Decorative fabric: Cotton fabric for sides and zipper.

18” x 22” (45x55cm) - Lining:  One fat quarter cotton fabric.

Intermediates:

12” x 8” (31x21cm) - Foam Pad: ByAnnie's Soft and Stable, Pellon Flex-Foam or similar. 

18” x 22” (45x55cm) - Thin spacer: Pressable spacer for the lining like Vilene G700 woven fusible or Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex. This is to stabilize zipper, sides and lining. 

Miscellaneous:

1 - 12” (30cm) zipper (or longer) for closure:  If you are very uncomfortable with splitting zippers, choose one that can be opened.

Wonder Clips or other fabric clips.

Cutting mat, inch ruler and rolling knife.

Gum glue.
